Favorite family activities to do at the beach//
I have a small confession to make. I absolutely love going to the beach, but I am terrified of the open ocean water. As a child living in Virginia Beach, I remember spending countless hours in the ocean having the time of my life body surfing the waves in to shore.
However, as I have grown older the closest to the water you'll find me is sitting in a beach chair down by the shore break with the waves chasing my sandy feet. I am not sure what led me to my new found love of land, but I am thinking the Jaws movies might have had something to do with it, lol.
All kidding aside, sometimes over the years we would load up the car and haul everything down to the beach only to discover that rip currents and red flags were out, which means no one is allowed in the water.
On beach days like these, it's a good idea to have a back up plan for making the most out of your beach day, so I came up with a list of fun family friendly things to do at the beach without going in the water.

What is your favorite activity to do at the beach with your family and friends?
I have never tried the Kan Jam game, but I have heard it is super fun! I put this game on my beach bucket list for this Summer. My personal favorite thing to do at the beach is collecting shells.
I have even decorated a few of my wreaths using the shells from the beaches I have been too. It's so therapeutic to me. I look forward to hearing about your fun days at the beach.
